AI in MISS: what is counted and what we promise
What is an AI action
Most AI work in MISS is part of the price per user and is not counted: dictation and transcription, the draft of a visit note, and questions about a patient's chart.
Heavier work is counted as an AI action against the monthly allowance of your plan. An action is one finished result that a doctor or a staff member starts on purpose.

Each plan's allowance is set per contracted seat per month (per user on the clinical plans, per facility on the accreditation plan) and pooled: your contract multiplies it by your contracted seats, and your whole organisation draws on the total. Accreditation AI's figures read «coming» until they are set.
Fair use
The price per user covers normal work by one person: the dictation, notes and chart questions of a working day. Voice draws on the clinic's voice pool, below. The price is not meant for running automated jobs through one person's account, sharing one account between several people, or processing other clinics' records. If a clinic's use is far outside normal clinical use, we will tell you first, show you the figures, and agree a change with you before anything is applied.
Each clinical user brings 1,000 weighted voice minutes a month into one voice pool for the whole clinic; unused minutes do not carry over. A minute of a recorded visit counts as 2 weighted minutes, a dictated minute as one. Your plan's AI actions are pooled the same way. We write to you when 80% of a pool is used, and again when it is used up. We never stop a dictation or a visit in progress. A recording lasts at most 120 minutes, and each user can have one recording running at a time. If your clinic is over a pool in 2 of any 3 consecutive months, we call you first; from the following month you then add packs, at the prices in your contract, or move up a plan. Nothing is charged without your agreement.
Who is a seat
Everyone on your staff who uses AI features is a user of the AI plan, and there are two kinds of user, each with its own price. A clinical user is a doctor, a nurse or a call-centre operator, including instrumental and other diagnostic doctors. A staff user is anyone in another role who uses AI: the front desk, cashiers, managers and the back office. You are billed for the number of users of each kind in your contract; if you added people during the year, that is settled at renewal. A month in which the plan starts or ends is charged for the calendar days it is in force.
Individual users may buy additional AI packs for their own use, if the clinic allows it. The clinic can turn this off. All clinical data stays in the clinic's account regardless of who pays.

A pack counts in the month it is added; unused minutes and actions do not carry over.

Your price is protected
- 12 months fixed. The price in your contract does not change for 12 months.
- A capped renewal. At renewal the price can rise by no more than the lower of consumer inflation and 5%.
- 90 days' notice. Any price increase, and any cut to your monthly allowance, needs 90 days' notice.
- Existing contracts are kept. A change applies to your contract only when it ends; until then you keep your terms.
- Cheaper, at once. If our costs fall, a lower price can apply immediately.
- A failed run costs nothing. A run that fails or returns nothing usable is not counted against your allowance.
- Scheduled runs are on us. Analyses MISS starts on its own schedule are never counted against your clinic.
- The first month is free. The first month of an AI plan costs nothing; this is a promotional offer.
- More AI does not raise your price. When we add a new model or a new capability from a provider we already use, you do not pay more for it.
- An equal or better model, at the same price. During your contract, even while your price is fixed, we may move an AI feature to another model only when our quality checks on that feature show no drop. Your price and allowance stay the same, and we tell you 30 days ahead. A model from a new provider also needs the notice below.
- A new provider needs 30 days' notice. Before a new provider processes your clinic's data, we tell you 30 days ahead; you may object, and terminate if we cannot resolve it.

The perpetual licence, without AI
Instead of the subscription, a clinic can buy MISS once: $250,000 for up to 175 users, and $1,430 one-time for each user beyond that. Hosting, updates and support are included for 3 years. After that the licence stays yours, hosting and updates continue free, and care, which is support, continues only if you choose the care plan, at 18% of the licence a year. AI is a separate subscription.
What happens if we stop paying yearly care?
The licence is yours for good: you never buy it again. After the included years of care, MISS keeps working as usual whether or not you take the care plan: we go on hosting it and keeping it updated, free of charge and with no end date. The care plan is support, so without it only support stops. AI is a separate subscription and does not depend on care. On request we hand you a copy of your clinic's database records within seven working days, free of charge; stored files, such as scans and PDFs, are not in the copy yet. Take the care plan again at any time to get support back, with no charge for the gap and no new licence to buy.
